Getting Started

You send us an email query giving details about your manuscript and we see whether it fits into our project criteria for Blossom Street Press...go to our contact page>>

   

If approved, you then send us a word file of your manuscript, telling us what services you require – such as proof reading or copy editing. We then negotiate a price with you depending on the work involved.  Once agreed, we send you a contract.

   
Your manuscript is copy edited (if requested). We then have it typeset, design the interior and layout the cover.
   
An electronic proof copy of your typeset book is generated and sent to you for inspection.
   
You now look over the proofs and make any corrections you require.
   
If you have requested a specially designed cover, these proofs will also be sent for your inspection.
   
Files are corrected and formatted for printing.
   
One of our publishing assistants works with you to create an author’s sheet about your title. A marketing scheme for your book is outlined.
   
All relevant pre-publication data is sent to various registration agencies and wholesalers.
   
Your author’s website is created and uploaded.
   
A proof copy of your title is generated and given a final quality check.
   
You are sent ten free copies of your title plus how many others you order at your author’s discount. At the same time, six copies are sent to the UK national receiving libraries.
   
Your book now is ready to order from the global online shopping services (such as Amazon) and is available through major wholesalers in Europe and America.
   
Once your book is launched, monthly sales reports are generated and accrued royalties are sent to you as per agreement.
